Incoming 7th - 12th grade students, we are so excited for Youth Camp 2025 and we want you to be there with us! Below we have registration, details, and forms for you to go through, so be sure to check it out!
YOUTH CAMP
DROP OFF DETAILS
We leave for camp on May 27th. We ask that you have your student(s) at the church at 8am for us to get everyone checked in and settled before we head to New Mexico. We will check in students in the foyer outside the Worship Center, where we will make sure we have everything we need to send your student to camp.
When you drop your student off, we ask that they bring a packed lunch for on the way to camp. Additionally, please bring $10 which will help us provide the students with pizza on the way back to Shallowater on the 31st.
WHAT TO BRING
Some things to take note of on the list:
- Please bring a water bottle that’s refillable and a backpack to carry Bible/notebook/etc. around in.
- Our leaders will be the ones to decide how short shorts have to be to be considered ‘short shorts’. If a student has on shorts that are too short, they will be sent back to their cabin to change.
Our color for rec is YELLOW!! So any clothes and props students want to bring for rec will be yellow.
Our phone policy for camp is we will allow students to have their phones and devices on the bus ride to camp, and they will be taken up when we get to Glorieta. All devices will be kept in a safe and locked room during camp and will be given back to students on the trip home.
As for any money students may need for camp: Glorieta has a store that includes merchandise, snacks, drinks, and a coffee bar. This store does not take cash or card. Instead, you will need to create an account through the link below and purchase ‘Camp Credits’ for your students to use while they are at camp.
FORMS
The first form with the QR code will take you to a site to fill out a waiver for each student through Student Life, the organization putting on camp for us. If you have more than one student going to camp, it will ask if you want to submit another form when you submit the first. Please fill one out for each student going to camp!
Secondly, you will see our medication form. If your student takes prescription medicine or takes something only as needed, such as an inhaler or epipen, please fill out that form and send it to tiffany@firstshallowater.org. If your student doesn’t take any medication or have medical notes we need to know of, please don’t worry about this form! When your student checks in, please bring all prescription medications in their original bottles in a gallon or quart baggie.
