Michael has been serving in ministry for over 12 years and joined the staff at FBC Shallowater in June 2021. He is from Lubbock and loves this area and community. He graduated from Wayland Baptist university with a Bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministry. Michael’s desire is to see students connect with Christ is a real, life-transforming way! 

Julie has been the Children’s Pastor at FBC since 2005. Her heart is for the children to come to know Christ's love and to serve Him! Also to help parents fulfill their God-given role to be their children’s primary spiritual leaders. Julie is married to Bryan and they have two grown children Ethan and Madison. Julie enjoys hanging out with her family!

Josh grew up in Plainview, TX and graduated from Wayland Baptist University in 2019.  He has worked in ministry for several years in various roles including student ministry, missions, and college ministry.  Josh has a heart for teaching youth about the Lord and showing them that they can make a difference for the Kingdom right where they are.  Josh and his wife Abi joined First Shallowater in 2021 and love this community.  They look forward to growing with and serving the people of Shallowater. 

Casie Muller serves as the KDO/Pre-School director and previously has been a KDO teacher since 2014. She loves this church and the joy of discovery on children’s faces as they learn about God. Casie and her husband Bryce have been married since 2008. They have 3 kids: Kaedyn, Avery, & Micah. She started this journey when her oldest daughter Kaedyn was in the 3’s class and her daughter Avery was in the baby room. All 3 of her kids have gone through the KDO program and it holds a special place in her heart.  

Anna Jackson serves as Discipleship and Development Coordinator. Her passion is helping people grow in their relationship with Christ. Anna has a Master of Education Degree in Counseling and certification in Mid-Management. Anna served as a teacher, counselor, and administrator in the field of education prior to transitioning to church work. Anna and her husband Rodney grew up in Shallowater.  They returned to Shallowater in 2006 to raise their twin boys, Sawyer and Spencer. 

Jeremy began serving as the interim worship leader at FBC Shallowater in June of 2020 and was hired as our part-time Worship Pastor in February of 2022. Jeremy and his wife Krystle were married in 2007 and have two children, Rutledge and Paisley. Jeremy has served in several pastoral positions over the past 20 years in churches across the South Plains. He also works at Texas Girls & Boys Ranch in Lubbock where he serves as Director of Education, Recreation, and Spiritual Development. Jeremy earned a Bachelor’s degree in Church Music from Wayland Baptist University and a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Southwest.

Carrie Sarchet is the Financial Secretary at FBC Shallowater. She has been blessed to work at this church since 2003! Her husband’s name is Kerry. Together, they have four children. Seven grandsons and one granddaughter call them Slick and Lottie! Their favorite pastime is playing with their grandchildren. Carrie's favorite Bible verse is Hebrews 7:25. We must never forget that Jesus is completely able to save those who come to God through him!

Annie is a Lubbock local who graduated from Texas Tech University with an Advertising degree in 2020. She has worked in ministry since 2018 in various ways including student ministry, missions, and administration. She has a heart for missions and meeting others where they are at to show the love of Christ. Annie and her husband, Jackson, joined FBC Shallowater in September of 2021 and have really loved the community and heart of the church. They look forward to continuing to grow their family here and call First Shallowater their home.
